A Quiet Gallery: My Favorite Page

Art journal spread featuring a white daisy with ultramarine outlines on a red-orange painted background, with green leaves and white paint splatters.

A Quiet Gallery: Art Journal Entry No. 18

In this one, I notice the ultramarine outlines against the orange. That contrast was what I was exploring when I used my first set of high-quality pastels, something I never would’ve splurged on in the past. My favorite detail is the white flowers and how they pop because of the outline. Next time, I would drastically change the composition and let the flowers be the clear focal point.
