Soul Drawings: A Glimpse Into the Unseen

Have you ever felt like there’s more to you than what you see in the mirror? That deep knowing—that pull toward something beyond the physical—connects you to the unseen. This is where Soul Drawings come in.

HOW I DISCOVERED THIS ABILITY

A Soul Drawing featuring abstract, spiritual imagery created through intuitive channeling. The artwork includes symbolic figures, flowing lines, and ethereal colors, representing a connection to the Higher Self and unseen energies.

A client’s Soul Drawing from March 2024, intuitively channeled to reflect their essence, spiritual journey, and unseen connections.

In October 2022, I had a reading with psychic Laila Taylor. My mom had passed just three months prior, and I was still in the early stages of grief. A week before, I’d had a mediumship reading with Christel Miles, who gave me undeniable proof that my mom was still with me. She described details no one else could have known—like how I had taken roses from my mother’s casket, dried them, and placed them beside a cherished photo of her from her younger years.

That reading was the first step in my healing journey. It confirmed that there’s more to life than what we experience in the physical world.

As a child, I had always sensed something beyond myself, though it scared me. I remember feeling unseen presences, especially in the bathroom (which terrified me). I often wondered if I had intuitive abilities, so during my session with Laila, I finally asked.

She hesitated before saying, “Um… well… I see that you can paint spirit guides and draw past lives.”

I remember thinking, Yeah, okay.

She explained that it was similar to automatic writing—but instead of words, I would channel images. My drawings, she said, would bypass the logical mind, allowing Spirit to come through naturally, as it allows my mind to “shut up,” as she put it.

Months later, another psychic—without knowing what Laila had told me—said the exact same thing. She even suggested I look up Mary Moses on YouTube, who channels art using a technique called scrying.

FEAR AND DOUBT: WAS I LOSING MY MIND?

I’d like to say that I jumped right into this gift with confidence. But the truth is, I didn’t. I was terrified.

At the start of 2023, I felt like my entire world had cracked open. Everything I thought I knew about myself, my spirituality, and my purpose was unraveling. Looking back, I see it for what it was—a spiritual awakening. But at the time? It felt like a full-blown breakdown.

I questioned everything. Was I making this up? Was I going crazy? Who was I to think I could channel something as deep as a person’s soul?

There were moments I was convinced I was losing my mind. I had spent my whole life relying on logic and reason, and now I was being asked to trust something completely unseen.

But the more I resisted, the stronger the pull became. Spirit wasn’t letting me ignore this.

FORMS OF SCRYING

Scrying is an ancient practice of seeing images within a medium. It can be done with:

  • Crystal balls

  • Mirrors

  • Fire

  • Water

Mary Moses taught a class on TikTok where she used charcoal to let images emerge naturally. Watching her work felt like the confirmation I needed.

OPENING UP TO THE PROCESS

In January 2023, I received my first Reiki Attunement—an experience that completely expanded my awareness. The best way I can describe it? It felt like an energetic flushing—a clearing of blocks I had carried for years. It was as if I had woken up from a long trance. In the days and months that followed, I was deeply emotional in how I had been living. How I treated and spoke with my husband: angry all the time, and all the self-destructive behaviors I was doing to myself. That attunement marked the start of my deep healing and transformation.

Shortly after the attunement, I had the time and was able to take Mary’s class on scrying. I thought it was going to be a long and drawn out process. I learned in the 10 minute class, that it’s just a sheet of paper, charcoal, marker, and an intention. I learned that this work is about surrender. I don’t control what appears—I allow it.

Each drawing is a prayer of trust—a connection between myself, Spirit, and the person I am channeling for.

THE PROCESS

I often compare creating Soul Drawings to doing something you love—when you become so immersed in the moment that time disappears.

Before I begin, I set an intention and ask Spirit to work through me. I invite God to use my imagination, feelings, and hands to bring forth the images. This is why I use markers—there are no mistakes in this work. Every detail that appears is meant to be there.

Sometimes, I see imagery in the charcoal. Other times, it emerges in my mind’s eye—like watching a movie unfold while my hand moves across the page.

I wish I could project what I see, sense, and feel during the channeling process—it’s truly profound, yet subtle.

WHY SOUL DRAWINGS MATTER

A Soul Drawing is more than an image—it’s a reflection of the unseen. It captures different aspects of your essence, revealing connections to your Higher Self, past experiences (both in this life and beyond), and the energies surrounding you.

Each element—colors, symbols, figures—holds meaning. They offer insight into emotions, relationships, inner struggles, and spiritual growth. These drawings don’t predict the future or give instructions. Instead, they reveal what your spirit is ready to see.

Unlike traditional portraits, Soul Drawings highlight the integration of light and shadow, struggle and triumph, action and stillness. They remind us that we are not just who we appear to be in this moment—we are an evolving story, shaped by our past, our experiences, and our soul’s journey.

FROM FEAR TO TRUST

Looking back, I see now that the fear wasn’t a sign that I was losing my mind—it was a sign that I was stepping into something bigger than myself.

I used to think I needed proof, that I needed someone else to validate my gift. But Spirit doesn’t work that way. This journey has taught me , and is still teaching me, that trust isn’t built on certainty—it’s built on faith, on feeling, on surrendering to the unknown.

And now, after many Soul Drawings, I know this work isn’t about me at all. It’s about connection. It’s about showing others the beauty, depth, and magic that already exists within them.
